Miss Bethany began ballet lessons at age four and always dreamed of owning her own studio. In middle school, she would create full-length ballets complete with choreography notes, costume designs, set designs and music playing on her old school boombox!

She had a wonderful experience growing up in a studio that became like a second home with dancers that remain her closest friends to this day. Now as the owner and director of NGSB, she strives to create that same wonderful experience with the #NGSBFamily.

NGSB was originally founded by Jennifer McDonnell who started the studio from scratch in 2011.  Check out this picture of her hand drawn NGSB logo she created while starting the business!

After five years, Miss Jennifer moved on to pursue her doctorate degree. During those first five years, she established a studio with quality training and a family atmosphere.

​

Miss Bethany was so excited to take over the studio in 2016 and continue to develop the welcoming and positive studio culture at NGSB. After a college degree in dance, a career of dancing professionally, and years teaching in several dance studios in California and Georgia, Miss Bethany welcomed the opportunity and challenge of owning a dance studio.

Soon after becoming the owner, Miss Bethany and her husband Mr. Corey welcomed their own little ballerina, Abilene! Mr. Corey, although not (yet) an accomplished dancer, brings his entrepreneurial spirit to NGSB and also owns his own small business (Franchise Captain, LLC,) helping others to start their own businesses!

Since taking over, Miss Bethany has grown the studio, moved it to a new larger location and even won the Sandy Spring Perimeter Chamber's Small Business of the Year for 2020!  She continues to cultivate the NGSB family atmosphere, quality training, and community involvement while bringing the joy of dance to everyone joining the studio!
