what sets us apart
There are 4 things to consider when choosing a dance studio that will make a huge difference in the quality of dance education and the quality of experience for your child...
1) How many people are in the class?
Small class sizes allow for more individual attention, ensuring students will not develop bad habits. It is also easier for the instructor to maintain full control and engagement of the class with a limited number of dancers. All classes at NGSB have a maximum of 12 people. The younger classes have a maximum of 8 dancers to ensure lots of personal attention!
2) Has the staff been professionally trained?
Learning the correct terminology, technique, and artistry is very important for quality in a dancer's education. Every member of staff at NGSB has had professional training, professional performing experience, and years of experience as teachers! Many of Miss Bethany's former students have danced professionally, received college scholarships for dance, and studied ballet and dance at renowned universities.
3) What kind of floors are used?
NGSB studios are all equipped with a professional "sprung floor." This sprung floor absorbs the shock of jumping which works to prevent injury and enhance performance.
The top layer of NGSB studio floors is marley, a surface designed to accommodate gliding across the floor without falling or slipping. Marley floors are considered the superior dance floor for professional and recreational dance studios around the world.
4) How many different fees are required?
NGSB charges an annual $35 registration fee and our monthly tuition fee based on how many hours of classes you take. The only other fee you will be charged all year is a costume fee for our end of year performance. NGSB does not charge ANY additional performance fees, recital fees, rehearsal fees, theatre fees, or participation fees!
